About the Finding Aid Collections

Many of the Library's manuscript and archival collections are available online as finding aids that describe and provide an inventory of primary source materials -- manuscripts, papers, pictures, etc. — housed in the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collection Library.

Authentication: Many items in the Digital Collections are restricted to the UVa community - users must be on Grounds, or authenticated through UVa Anywhere. The Finding Aids are all publicly accessible.

There are minimum software requirements for some functionality, including the installation of Java on your machine. No special software is required to view the Finding Aids. Please see the Finding Aid Collection help for more information.
